The UltraCeramic is constructed of ultrafine ceramic with a filtration efficiency of 0.9 microns absolute. Independent testing documented that ceramic is more efficient at reducing live cryptosporidium than conventional block carbon filters tested under similar condition.
When special toxic contaminants are present in your drinking water supply, additional protective filters can remove a large range of toxic contaminants. Each filter is customizable to your specific water filtration needs combined with our UltraCeramic to remove a wide variety of toxic contaminants:
Fluoride/ Heavy Metal Reduction Filter: Removes the toxic chemical Fluoride to almost non detectable levels, as well as heavy metals such as: Aluminium, Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium, Iron, Lead, Manganese, Mercury, Nickel, Silver, and Zinc.
Ultraviolet Lamp: Kills particulates by using a high intensity UV light. This is normally placed after a ceramic filter. Any remaining microorganisms are destroyed.
